Rafting
Our rafts fit up to 6 adults per boat, and we will be going back to combining groups this summer to fill those rafts. If you are a group of 2 or 3 people that would not like to be place in a boat with a different group, we can offer you a private boat for the price of 4 adults.
We are encouraging all guests to transport themselves to the river if you have a vehicle. If you do not have a vehicle in Park City, we can pick you up. We will continue to require the use of masks inside our vehicles during transportation. There will be masks and gloves available for you if you do not have your own. Please fill out our waiver electronically, which is attached to your booking confirmation email.
Please, leave all valuable behind, either at the hotel or in your vehicle. For the items necessary to bring with you, we do have locked cubbies inside our trailer. We have never had a problem with break-ins at the river, but it is probably best to only take the essentials on the trip.
We are returning to our classic shuttle system this season. You will meet your guides at the put-in where you will leave the car. After the trip, we will be loading all guests into our 12 passenger vans, where we will be requiring everyone to be wearing masks for the 10 minute drive back up the road. There will be masks and gloves for you in the shuttle, but again, we encourage you to bring your own. If you are uncomfortable with our shuttle system, you may meet us at the river site 25-30 minutes early so you may follow our vans down to the take out to leave your car there. We will then just bring the one driver back to the put-in before the trip begins, this way your group may leave right from take out after your raft.
Our river site has shaded picnic tables, lawn games, a large field/parking area, and the potential for gatherings of people. Please help us practice social distancing and wear your own mask if you have one.
When it is time to begin the trip and start the safety briefing, each group will be assigned a raft, reasonably spaced from each other. Your group will sit in your raft while our River Manager leads the safety speech.
While on the river, each raft will stay separated from each other. Please do not wear your mask onboard, as a wet mask can be a safety hazard. Please practice social distancing if you take a break during the excursion.
Upon take out, our guides will lift the boats onto our trailer, where they will grab masks for those that didn’t bring theirs. If your vehicle is already the take out, you can either drive back to the put in if you left belongings in our cubbies or need to use the restroom or drive directly back to your accommodations. If you will be using our shuttle to return to your vehicle or your hotel, you will be placed in the appropriate, vehicle while wearing masks.
Expectations we have set for rafting guides:
All rafting guides will be practicing social distancing as best as possible while prepping for the day, driving to the river, etc. All of our guides will be wearing masks when appropriate. There is a handwashing station at our put in that we encourage our guides and guests to use as necessary. If a guide has been feeling ill or has recently come in contact with someone that has the virus, they are instructed to stay home.
