Park City Cross Country Skiing
If you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of ski resorts, join us on a cross-country ski tour. This is your opportunity to travel the same way the mountain men and early miners used to. Tours can stay closer to town in the Round Valley area or venture about 40 minutes away into the Uinta National Forest.
What to Expect
Nordic skiing offers participants of all experience levels the opportunity to explore what lies beyond the city limits. Your Park City cross-country ski tour can be a slow paced means of traveling through the snow or a rewarding aerobic workout! Your experience all depends on what you are looking for in your customized outing. Cross-country ski tours are fun for families with older children, groups of friends, couples, or a unique activity for smaller sized corporate groups. In order to give you the most rewarding experience we assure you a custom cross-country ski tour. We will only pair you with people who fit your same skill level, in fact most tours will be private. Although we don’t offer lessons, our guides take beginners out all the time and can provide helpful tips to get you comfortable! If you'd like some additional information check out our blog!
Cross Country Skiing Itinerary
We will pick you up from any lodging location in Park City, Utah and take you to one of our many XC ski trails throughout the area. If you making reservations for our local tour, pick up is at 9am/10am or 1:30pm. You will be at the trail within ten minutes of pick up. For our beginners, your guide will help get you fitted into boots and skis and give you basic instruction before hitting the trails. You will begin on the green trails, getting a hang of the movement. If you are feeling confident you can start to work your way up to the "Land of Oz".
If you are thinking about the half day tour, pick up is at 9am or 1:30pm. You will enjoy a scenic 40 minute drive to the National Forest, be fitted with boots and skis and hit the trails! All Seasons Adventures proudly operates on US Forest Service land under a special use permit managed by the Heber-Kamas ranger district. Once out on these trails you will be fully immersed into a backcountry cross country skiing experience. These trails might be groomed following a storm, but you may also be making your own trail. You can expect to be skiing for about 2-2.5 hours. On the way back into town, be sure save a little time for a stop at the Samak Country Store for a hot drink or some locally made jerky!
