Hiking in Park City is a favorite activity for us at All Seasons Adventures! Park city and the surrounding areas offer miles and miles of pristine hiking with terrain for all levels of outdoor enthusiasts. Hikers can expect panoramic views of several different mountain ranges, wildlife sightings, and wildflowers covering the hillsides. Exploring the beautiful trails of Park City is not an activity to be missed!
Although access is limited in higher elevations, early season is great time to hit the trails. If you’re looking for a leisurely hike with wild flowers, potential for wildlife, and beautiful views, both Rob’s Trail and Round Valley are ideal. Rob’s Trail switchbacks up for about a mile and a half before you are rewarded with a spectacular view of the Wasatch Range. Often times moose are seen along this trail so keep your eyes open, cameras ready, and give plenty of space. Round Valley is excellent option if you have kids in tow or are looking for options. There is an abundance of trails that intertwine with each other, giving you the option to make your hike as mellow or challenging as you would like. Accessing the ridge via Matt’s Flat will make for a great photo opportunity of all three ski resorts in Park City. In addition, Round Valley is a wintering habitat for Elk and Mule Deer so look for signs of their presence. If you’re interested in venturing out of town, Sundance Resort is a prime destination. Stewart Falls is a great three mile loop that includes a chairlift ride. The trail begins at the base of Mt. Timpanogos, and provides unparalleled scenery the entire way. After working up an appetite on this hike, stop by the base of the resort for great bite.
