Springtime in Park City brings more sunshine and warmer weather to the Wasatch Back, and lots of spring breakers. With plenty of activities in town and plenty of snow (typically), a spring vacation in Utah can be packed full of activities.
Spring Skiing:
Spring can be the most exciting time on the mountain, partially due to desirable conditions—sunshine and snow—but partially due to the fun outfits you find on the ski hill. Neon colors, goofy jumpsuits, or sometimes a lack of clothing will be sailing down the slopes. Not interested in making a fool of yourself on the mountain? Take the opportunity to improve your skills by skiing with a champion at Deer Valley! It is an incredible opportunity that can book up quickly, so act fast!
Spring GrÜv:
The Spring Grüv is a month-long celebration in Park City celebrating the beautiful spring season. From March 6th to April 5th, there are events each weekend at Park City Mountain Resort for you and the family to enjoy.
“Under bluebird skies, you’re invited to feel the beat of concerts on the village stage, join a deck party at Pink Park City, test your creativity at the annual Pond Skimming Competition and so much more. Redefine your spring break at this springtime celebration.” -PCMR
Easter Activities:
What is Easter without brunch? Make reservations for Riverhorse’s Annual Brunch Buffet from 10am to 2pm on Easter Sunday or try Hearth and Hill’s first Easter Brunch featuring live music from 11am to 2pm. For the kids, there are many Easter opportunities in the area. The Easter Bunny will be visiting Deer Valley Resort on Easter Sunday, and PCMR will have an Egg Hunt at both Canyons and Park City Mountain Village for the little kiddos, and an on-mountain egg hunt for all ages!
Some of our favorite spring activities:
Fly Fishing:
Fly fishing amps up in the spring months and becomes even more fun! Catching big browns and the occasional rainbow trout can be super easy with a skilled fishing guide. Enjoy a day out of the snow and on the relaxing water with a guided fly fishing trip.
Snowshoeing:
Park City has an extensive trail system, and it’s best to make the most of it with a leisurely tour on snowshoes. Snowshoeing offers a much different view of Park City and brings you a little closer to nature with a chance of seeing wildlife.
Trapshooting:
Spring weather is the perfect time to test your skill with a shotgun while shooting at clay pigeons. Located in the beautiful Kamas Valley, just outside of Park City, groups of 8 or more will love getting outside with a little friendly competition.
