Whitewater Rafting

Never been rafting before? The mighty Weber River is a great place to start! With our private launch site, we have the opportunity to show our guests down three more rapids than those launching at the public put-in. This is a family friendly river - children four years old and over with the ability to swim are welcome!

Rafts fit up to six adults (or up to seven if there are small children).

Inflatable Kayaking

Are you looking for a more demanding whitewater experience? Try our unique kayaking tour and paddle the class II whitewater of the Weber River. You will be paddling your own inflatable kayak while a guide floats along with the group, providing instruction and guidance. Previous whitewater experience is required. The waves seem bigger and staying dry is not an option; in fact, a swim is likely! Children must be at least 12 years of age and be able to swim for our kayaking tours.

Rafting & Inflatable Kayaking Itinerary

Choose from a morning or an afternoon adventure, starting at 9:30 AM, 1:00 PM, or 4:30 PM respectively at our rafting site in Henefer, Utah, which is about 45 minutes from Park City. We can provide round trip transportation from your Park City lodging location for an additional fee, with pick-ups at 8:30 AM for morning tours. or 12:00 PM for afternoon tours. If you're coming up from Salt Lake City, we are located roughly one hour away. Upon arrival at the river you will be checked in, fitted in a Personal Flotation Device (PFD), and given a comprehensive safety talk before launching the rafts.

Expect to be on the river for about 2 to 2.5 hours, with the first rapid just moments after launching. Along the way, you will navigate around boulders, through rock gardens, learn about spectacular geologic features like the Devil’s Slide, and have the opportunity to spot wildlife. A professional photographer will follow the groups from the first drop to last wave, capturing every memory from the put-in to the take-out. You will have the option to preview and purchase these photos upon return to the launch site.

The float wraps up at Taggart Falls, the last rapid of the tour. At take-out, we will load the boats and shuttle everyone back to the launch site. Enjoy your lunch under our shaded picnic area, or use our caterer for added simplicity for an additional price (lunch is only offered for morning trips). You’ll have the opportunity to purchase the photos from the trip and enjoy playing some lawn games - we have frisbees galore and we love a good game of corn hole.

What’s Included / What to Bring

Rafting and inflatable kayak tours include a Portable Flotation Device, paddle, and a helmet (helmets for kayaking tours). Simply come dressed to get wet! Quick dry or synthetic clothing is best--no jeans or cotton. You can also wear a bathing suit under your quick dry shorts and top. Feel free to bring a towel to leave at our launch site, but you’ll dry off quickly in the Utah sunshine and probably won’t need one.

Proper footwear is essential. We highly recommend sandals with straps like Chacos, Keens, or Tevas, but as long as you don’t mind your shoes getting wet and they can be secured to your foot with a strap, most shoes will work. *Please no flip flops, slide ons or bare feet.*

We do not allow alcohol on our boats during the float portion of the trip.

Don’t forget to bring a hat, well-fitting sunglasses, and sunscreen! Our rafting location is lower in elevation than Park City but the sun is still very powerful. Apply sunscreen generously! There will be water on the rafts, but in an effort to cut back on single use water bottles, please bring your reusable bottle. It is very important to stay hydrated! Although we understand the desire to bring your phone or camera on the rafts, please understand that once something goes overboard, there’s no hope of getting it back. We suggest that everyone leave any expensive personal items at home. Phones and car keys can be kept in our locked cubbies at the put-in.

frequently asked questions (faqs)

RAFTING

Can you go rafting as a beginner?

Yes! No experience is required, and beginners are welcome to join our rafting tours. All tours include a guide who will take care of steering, and cue your team to provide paddle power when necessary.

How long will we be out?

We recommend planning for 4-5 hours door-to-door. Actual time on the river ranges between 2 and 2.5 hours depending on how fast the river is flowing, and we like planning buffer time before and after your trip for travel time and checking in.

What time do rafting tours start?

If you elect to drive yourself, plan to meet us at the river at 9:30 AM, 1:00 PM, or 4:30 PM. We can pick up in Park City at 8:30 AM or 12:00 PM.

Where do we meet?

We can pick you up from your accommodations if you are staying in Park City. You are also welcome to meet us at the river if desired.

What is provided on your rafting trips?

On our rafting trips, we provide all the things you need for success - just come dressed for a fun day on the water! Life jackets (PFDs), paddles, and water bottles are provided. If you have any medical devices you need to bring along, our guides have a safe place to keep them throughout your trip. We also provide staffed cubbies to keep your personal belongings you don’t want to risk losing on the river. Guests are always welcome to leave personal belongings in their cars in our private lot throughout their trips as well! Lunch can be added on to most trips for an additional fee.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes! Children 4 and up are welcome on our rafting trips! We ask that all children joining can either swim, or are comfortable around water. In years with high water levels, this minimum age may be raised for safety purposes.

KAYAKING

Do you require prior experience for kayaking?

Yes, we ask that guests have either been on one of our rafting trips, or have prior whitewater experience before joining our kayaking trips. Kayaking on the Weber River is more demanding than rafting, and falling into the water is more likely. We provide life jackets, helmets, and helpful guides to assist you with picking your lines through the rapids.

Rafting Reviews

“Took my 7&9 year olds down the river with a guide. Very enjoyable and relaxing. Great scenery and the guide was knowledgeable about the local area and wildlife along the river. Took approx 2.5 hours to travel the 8.5 miles. Paddling was only required a few times, overall a great trip and well worth the ~35 minute drive from park city. Highly recommend if you're looking to get away for a few hours and enjoy the peace and quite of the outdoors.”

– Jeff

“We had an incredible day with our guide Blaine who was phenomenal! He was extremely knowledgeable and very good at navigating the river. Tons of laughs and opportunities to swim and get wet! It was our first time white water rafting and Blaine made the experience very special for our family. Can’t say enough about the experience with this very well run company. We’ll be using All Seasons for more excursions!”
